Alan Wood's L. H. Edinburgh, 1966, acrylic on canvas,
72 x 60 in., in an Arnolfini Gallery, Bristol, show
shared with Antanas Brazdys the sculptor. Wood's
last one-man show was at Bonython Gallery, Sydney,
this year. In 1965 he executed a mural commission
for Leeds University. (Price range: Wood, £20-£150;

A gallery in the country, Robins Croft, at Chilham,
near Canterbury, is putting on an exhibition
(November-December) of prints, watercolours and
recent oils by Cecil Collins, who had a one-man
show at the Whitechapel Gallery seven years ago.
Collins has been influenced by Klee, Picasso and
Surrealism. Illustrated here is his The Waters of the
Sun, 1962, oil, 4 x 3 ft. (Price range: prints from
£20; oils up to £200.)

mainly of recent drawings and studies for paintings.

Grabowski Gallery shows sculpture by Ivor
Abrahams, constructions by Michael Chilton
and constructions and drawings by Michael Sandie,
November 4-December 2.
Illustrated here is Michael Sandle's Crocus, 1964-5,
polyester resin, 9 x 9 ft. Both Ivor Abrahams and
Michael Sandie have had one-man exhibitions in
recent years.

Takis' Radar, 1966, magnets and steel needles,
approx. 3 ft in diameter, in a Takis exhibition of
new kinetic work at Indica Gallery, October 26
through December. Takis, who was born in
Athens in 1925 and has lived and worked in Paris
since 1954, is one of the most considerable of the
kinetic artists. His last one-man exhibition was in

Henri Manguin's Colombier, la Voile, 1917, oil,
21+ x 24 in., from a retrospective of his Fauve
period at Arthur Tooth's-until November 13.
Manguin, who died in 1949, studied with Rouault,
Matisse and Marquet, and was a father-figure of
Fauvism. In 1905 Vollard bought 150 of his canvases.

Rock-a-bye Black Baby from the Tree Top, 1964-5,
one of a series of canvases painted by the American
artist, Martin Weener. They are being shown
at the Curwen Gallery in an exhibition entitled
Landscape of Violence. Included in the show is a
number of drawings. (Price range: drawings,

Charles Perry's Night Flight, 1966, bronze, 18 in. high,
at Axiom Gallery November 3-30, in an exhibition
shared with John Golding. This is the first London
show of this American sculptor, who won the
Prix de Rome in 1964 and at present works at the
American Academy in Rome. (Price range: Charles
