v1s1ons  knows  no  release  and  is  stressed  by  material
                                 effects-timid at first, more and more concrete later.
                                  The play of light and the relief patterns that endow the
                                 surface with life are first brought into contrast with the
                                 colour  composition,  as  if  two  themes  were  super­
                                 imposed one  upon the other.  The impressive verticals
                                 with  their  extreme  effects  are  countered  with  the
                                 delicate  arabesques  and  the  ecstatic  tracery  brought
                                 about by his  unique  use of his painterly medium.
