Robert Rauschenberg and Alex Hay, dressed in
sweat suits with parachutes strapped to their backs,
ride a pole suspended between two wheels and
emerge from the wings behind the audience. First
they whirl on the wheels; then they skate at top
speed around the arena.
Carolyn Brown in sweat suit and toe-shoes does
dance movements ending in a pas-de-trois with Alex
Hay and Robert Rauschenberg. The parachutes
removed, Robert Rauschenberg does a pas-de-deux
with Carolyn Brown. The piece ends with Robert
Rauschenberg and Alex Hay as they entered, but
without parachutes.
