Painting, 1967, by Martin Barré during July and
September at Arnaud, 212 Boulevard Saint-Germain,
in a mixed exhibition including Hamisky, Fichet,
Guitet, Downing, Koenig, Feito, Schneider and
Marta Pan. In January 1964 Barré had a one-man show
at Arnaud.

Angelus 1962, bronze, natural stone base, 14½ in., by
Joachim Berthold showing sculpture and drawings
at Gmurzynska 74-76 Mauritiussteinweg until July 31.
Born in 1917 in Eisenach, Berthold studied at the
Munich academy in 1936. His first exhibitions took
place in Munich at Krin Hielscher 1953 and at
Städtische 1954. Other one-man exhibitions include
Städtisches Suermondt Museum, Aachen 1962.

Cardboard sculpture by Erwin Heerich showing
sculpture and drawings until the end of July at
Muller, 7 Hohenheimerstrasse. Heerich was born in
1922 in Kassel and from 1945-54 attended the
Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf under Professor
Mataré. His first exhibition took place at Haus van
der Grinten Kranenburg.

Frogs 1967, by Urd von Hentig at Gerda Bassenge,
206 Kurfürstendamm, until July 31. Born in 1933
in Berlin, Urd von Hentig studied painting and
design in Berlin and Munich from 1951-3 and
travelled extensively in Java and Bali 1953-4. Later
after continuing studies in Munich, she made a
trip to Teneriffe and Greece and since 1964 has lived
in South Norway. Her technique includes Batik,
watercolours and drawings. (Price range: DM 60—

Musik 1946, oil on canvas, 22 x 27+ in. by Emil Nolde
(1867-1956) at Wilhelm Grosshennig 13 Kasernen-
strasse, in an exhibition of selected works of the 19th
and 20th centuries— paintings, drawings, water-
colours, sculpture. Nolde studied at the
Holzschnitzerschule, Flensburg and taught from
1892-8 at Gewerbeschule St Gallen, and was a
member of the BRÜCKE movement in 1906-7. In
1913-14 Nolde travelled through Russia, China,
Japan and Polynesia. There is a Nolde Foundation
at Seebüll.

The Shirelles 1965, I iquitex on canvas, 5 x 7 ft, by
Bob Stanley at Ricke, 44 Kolnische Strasse through
July. Born in 1932 in Yonkers, New York, Stanley
includes in his exhibitions Bianchini, New York. He
is represented in Europe by Galerie Ricke. (Price
