       Russian icon of the Korsun Mother of God, 15th or
       early 16th c., painted on wood panel in reds, ochre
       and white with gold and silver leaf on a gesso
       ground, 12 x 10¼ in., at Falcon until July 16. The
       exhibition includes Byzantine, Greek and Russian
       icons from the 13th to the early 18th century.

       Flower Group 1943, oil on canvas, 41 x 27½ in. by
        Ivon Hitchens (coll: Howard Bliss) at South London
       Art Gallery, Camberwell, July 15 to August 5.
       Retrospectives of Hitchens' work have been held
       at Temple Newsam, Leeds; Graves Art Gallery,
       Sheffield; Leicester Galleries, London, 1952;
       Venice Biennale 1956; and the Tate, 1963.

       The Armourer 1931, etching, 9¼ x 11¼ in. by
        Anthony Gross, painter-etcher, exhibiting etchings
        until August 31 at Maltzahn. An official War Office
        artist in 1941-6, Gross now teaches etching and
        engraving at the Slade School. His work won
        prizes at Lugano and Ljubljana, 1955. One-man shows
        include the Leicester 1934 and regularly there-
        after; Sagot et le Garrec, Paris, 1952; Hugo, New
        York, 1953; Zwemmer, 1954. (Price range: £16—£42.)

        Totemic sculpture from Abelam people, Maprik
        mountains, New Guinea, Melanesia, 62 x 12 in. at
        Gallery 43 in 'Tribal Arts', sculpture from New Guinea
        Africa, Asia and South America. Works made of
        wood, bronze, and terracotta are on view through-
        out the summer. (Price range £10—£3000.)

        Union 1967, acrylic on canvas, 85 x 98+ in. by
        Jeremy Moon, exhibiting at Rowan with gallery
        artists in July. Moon's recent exhibitions include
        Rowan 1966; and, this year, Muller, Stuttgart;
        9th Mainich: International Art Exhibition, Tokyo;
        and Brighton Arts Festival. He will be represented
        at the Paris Biennale this autumn.

        Sewing Shop III, 1967, terracotta, 13½ x 22 in., by
        Ghisha Koenig in Grosvenor's 'New works by
        artists of the gallery', July 11 to August 22. Born in
        1922 in England, Ghisha Koenig studied at the
        Slade and, under Henry Moore, at the Chelsea
        School of Art. Her principal group exhibitions
        include 'British Artist—Craftsmen', Smithsonian
        Institute, Washington 1959. Included in the current
        show are Azaz, Ayrton, Atamian, Clough, Evensen,
        Feiler, Giardelli, Hayman, Hoffmeister, Kenett,
        Skotnes and Wall. (Price range: approx. £20-£350.)
