flowers and the phenomena of growth and movement.
And not forms only. Speared Fish uses the light
potential of the medium to project and intensify the
supple glitter of the scales. This new development
does not apply just to the central trio. A second NU L
exhibition opened late in March in Amsterdam. Its new
discovery was Hans Haacke, a young artist of the Zero
periphery not yet thirty years old. Haacke works with
water and with air, with waves, bubbles, foam, oil,
condensation or dripping in plexiglass containers, or
with fabrics blown out by compressed air. The thing
which strikes one most about them, in distinction from
the Dutch and F"rench works to be seen, is their organic
sense. It is extraordinary. They seem the perfect fusion
of nature and technology. ■
