Centre Sculptor José de Rivera nears completion of a 16 ft by
13 ft by 8 ft stainless steel sculpture for the south entrance
of the Smithsonian Institution's Museum of History and
Technology, Washington, D.C. The sculpture, mounted on a
16 ft black granite base and rotating one revolution per
8 minutes, is called 'an orrery-man's abstract conceptualiza-
tion of his universe'.
