Black Motif on Green and White 1966, oil on canvas,
40 x 30 in. by Viren Sahai in an exhibition with
Prunella Clough at Bear Lane Gallery, 6 Bear Lane,
Oxford, from February 4-29.
Sahai, who had a one-man show at the
Commonwealth Institute, London, in 1966, was also
an exhibitor in the Commonwealth Biennale, for
three years. Prunella Clough is exhibiting gouaches

Manchester. The exhibition, which includes work
by thirteen artists, runs from February 10 to March 11,
and is sponsored by the Peter Stuyvesant Foundation.

an exhibition of animal paintings, drawings,
watercolours and sculpture by artists from different
periods, at Reid Gallery, High Street, Guildford—

The Eye Level 1966, collage and oil, 24 x 18 in. by
R. C. Ball in Exhibition 70 at Ashgate Gallery, Downing
Street, Farnham, Surrey, from February 7 until
March 30. A student of Hastings School of Art and
the Royal College of Art, Ball has had three one-man
exhibitions at the Ashgate, and has executed
commissions for mural paintings in England.

Figure 1966, collage, 22 x 21 in., by Harry Thubron,
in Drawings and Collages at Queen Square Gallery,
Claypit Lane, Leeds—February 7 until March 4.
Thubron has been head of the fine art department
at Leeds College of Art, head of the painting school
at Leicester College of Art, and visiting professor to
the University of Illinois. He has had a one-man
exhibition in Frauenfeld, Switzerland, and two
exhibitions in London. (Price range: £25—£200.)

Tower 1965, white paint on aluminium, 71 x 25 x
25 1/2 in. by Edgar Negret, the Colombian sculptor, at
Richard Demarco Gallery, 8 Melville Crescent,
Edinburgh. In addition to the sculpture exhibit, the
gallery is showing paintings and prints (£12—£35)
by five Nigerian artists from Oshogbo, and paintings
by John Eaves, who recently returned from a
scholarship visit to the United States. The three
exhibitions run from February 15 to March 11.
