                                                                       `I am proposing an environmental sculpture which is involved in accentuating and
                                                                       maintaining the sense of place. The site is a street stair built in 192z.' The steel
                                                                       frame is suggestive of a potential building which might have occupied the space.
                                                                       This suggestion of a building, and its absence, creates an added awareness and
                                                                       appreciation of the open space.
