Dame Edith Evans as Witch of Edmonton for an Old
Vic production in 1935, watercolour, 14 x 10 in., by
MOTLEY, in Wright Hepburn's retrospective of
theatre designs-until June 24-by MOTLEY, an
organization started in 1930 by two sisters,
Margaret and Sophie Harris, and Elizabeth
Montgomery. The group revolutionized theatre
design in England and has designed over 200
productions ranging from Shakespeare to Peter
Pan and Oklahoma. The exhibition includes designs
for Olivier's first Shakespearean role as Romeo and
for his most recent role in the 'Dance of Death' at
the National Theatre. (Price range: 25 gns-60 gns.)

Dog IV 1966-7, oil on canvas, 75½ x 84½ in., by
Anne Dunn, exhibiting recent paintings and
drawings at Leicester with Antonio Ribas, showing
drawings in his first exhibition in England-to June 24.
Anne Dunn has had three one-man shows at the
Leicester and in 1960 exhibited drawings and
watercolours there. Her group shows include
'Recherches '62' in Paris, and last month Fischbach,
New York, exhibited her work for the first time in

Zenobia-Seated Figure 1954, bronze, height 13 in.,
by Emilo Greco in the Grosvenor's 'Important
Twentieth Century Artists', until July 8. The
exhibition includes paintings by Balthus, Boccioni,
Derain, Gruber, Magritte, Permeke, Schlemmer and
Sironi, and sculptures by Archipenko, Arp, Calder,
Gaudier-Brzeska, Moore and Marini.

Oil Painting No. 16 1967, oil on canvas, 29¾ x 25¾ in.,
by Eirikur Smith at Alwin until June 30. Exhibiting
with Leslie Dyer, painter, and Endre Meister,
sculptor, Smith, who is Icelandic, has participated
in exhibitions in Denmark, Norway, Sweden,
U.S.S.R., Italy and the U.S.A. His recent exhibitions
include Icelandic Art from 1900-65, Colby College
Art Museum and in New York under the auspices
of American Federation of Arts, In Svea-Gallery,

A study for Le Moulin a Four, Louvre, 1821, pen and
wash 10 x 12¼ in., by Géricault (collection: The
Twelfth Duke of Hamilton) at Ewan Phillips' Recent
Acquisitions Exhibition during June. Approximately
forty works are on view; oils, watercolours and
drawings by, among others, Max Ernst, Leger,
Marini, Delvaux, Van Dogen, Lautrec, Moore and

Enchouage a St Valery 1967, oil on canvas, by
Petit Paul, at Madden, June 15-July 5. Born in St
Valery-sur-Somme, where he still lives, Petit Paul
recently won the Prix du Syndicat d'Initiative de
Biarritz and had a one-man exhibition at Abbeville.
The twelve oils and twenty watercolours in this
exhibition, his first in London, are all marine studies.

by Archy Ruff in a group exhibition at the
newly-opened Lissom Gallery until July 1, Born in
1942, Ruff-who was trained at Hornsey College of
Art-has exhibited with the Young Contemporaries
1966, and the London Group 1967. (Price range:
