A Small Man Sitting With Raised Arms 1932-3, bronze,
height 9⅞ in., by Hermann Blumenthal at Gunther
Franke, 22 Maximilianstrasse, in an exhibition in
memory of Hermann Blumenthal, with 48 bronzes
and drawings and etchings-to July 12. Blumenthal
was born in Essen in 1905. He was killed in action in
Russia in 1942. (Price range: sculpture Dm 1,500-

Etching, 11⅞ x 7⅞ in. by Hans Bellmer at Thomas,
25 Maximilianstrasse, during June. Born in 1902 in
Kattowice, Bellmer lived in Berlin until 1938. Before
making his home in Paris, he spent some time in
the south of France with Max Ernst. (Price range:

Rotes Rund 1962, 55⅛ x 70¾ in., by Rupprecht Geiger
from June 15 to July 16 at Kestner-Gesellschaft,
16 Warmbüchenstrasse. A prize winner atthe 1958
International Triennale for Coloured Graphics in
Grenchen, Switzerland, Geiger became a professor
in 1965 atthe Art Academy in Dusseldorf.

Wolfram Burkhardt at S. Ben Wargin, 1 Josef-
Hadyn-Strasse, from June 6-20. Now living in
Hamburg, Burkhardt studied in the Academy of Art,
Berlin, 1956-62, with Professor Volkert. In 1964 he
held a one-man show at Galerie Mikro, Berlin.

Kurfürstendamm, exhibiting oil paintings,
watercolours, and drawings-to June 30. Born in
1940, Maibaum studied at the Fine Arts Academy,
Berlin. From 1960-6 he was the master pupil of

Roland Oudot at Gemalde-Galerie Abels, 32
Stadtwaldgürtel, until July 15, in 'Venice-seen by
French painters of l'Ecole de Paris'. A student at
l'Ecole des Arts-Décoratifs, Oudot has exhibited at
the Salon d'Automne and the Salon des
lndependants. He has executed mural paintings for
the Palais Chaillot, and stage decorations for the
Ballets Russes. (Price range: £100-£1,500.)

Palmiro 1965-6, bronze, 6¾ x 7 x 4⅜ in. by Miguel
Berrocal, at Neuendorf, 32 Werderstrasse, exhibiting
sculptures which can be taken apart into various
elements, until June 30. Born 1933 in Algaidas,
Malaga, Berrocal exhibited in 1964 at Albert Loeb,
New York (with César, Ipousteguy, Metcalf and
Muller), and at Documenta III, Kassel, and in 1965
was in Contemporary Painting and Sculpture, at
O'Hana, London. (Price range: $500-$5,000.)
