Wojciech Siudmak in a joint show with Robert
O'Brien at Grabowski Gallery, 84 Sloane Avenue,
S.W.3 through October and November. Siudmak
was born in Poland and now lives in Paris.

Bords de Seine a Andé-Portajoie 1869, pastel by
Pierre Prins at the Madden Gallery, 77 Duke Street,
W.1 from October 12 to November 1. Prins was born
in 1838 and died in 1913 of pneumonia. His first
one-man show was in 1890 at Galerie George Petit,
and his first in England at the Madden Gallery in
1965. (Price range £500—£1,950.)

Egg collection 1966, a black and white etching
10 x 15 in. by Anthony Deigan from a mixed show
at the Curwen Gallery, 1 Colville Place, Whitfield
Street, W1 until October 28. The exhibition is of
prints by the staff and students of the Maidstone
and Portsmouth Colleges of Art. Maidstone staff
exhibiting are Agathe Sorel, Gabriel Sitkey, Lesley
Hamilton, Don Bessant, David Dickinson and
Joan Williams. Portsmouth staff are Nick Roberts,
Norman Taylor, Peter Glover, Geoffrey Mack and
Steve Hardstaff. Ten students are included. (Price

Walkgot a batik wallhanging on cotton, 36 x 48 in.
by Noel Dyrenforth at the Commonwealth Institute,
Kensington High Street, from October 27 to
November 19. Batik is a process of resist dyeing;
molten wax is painted on to the fabric which is then
dyed. When the wax is removed, the design appears
as an integral part of the fabric. (Price range
£10—E40.)

Bayswater Synagogue oil on canvas, 24 x 30 in.
by Alfred Daniels in the Trafford Group Show Five,
Trafford Gallery, 119 Mount Street, W.1 until
October 27. Daniels was born in London and
studied at the Royal College of Art. He has taken
part in many mixed shows, including Looking
Forward at the Whitechapel Art Gallery and has had
three one-man shows at the Trafford Gallery. He has
done murals for Hammersmith Town Hall and
Liverpool Street Station, Among other exhibitors
are Bruno Caruso, Jehan Daly, Philippe Jullian,
Peter Berrisford and Albert Deman. (Price range

85½ x 65 in. by Jan Frans van Bloemen (1662-1749)
in an exhibition of 16th, 17th and 18th century
masters at the Lasson Gallery, 57 Jermyn Street,
S.W.1 until November 30.

The gossipers 1966 oil on canvas, 28 x 31 in. by
Eva Zimmermann from The Travels of a Lizard at
the Everyman Foyer Gallery, Everyman Cinema,
N.W.3 from October 16 to November 12. Eva
Zimmermann, born in London in 1942, studied at
Chelsea School of Art and the Royal College of Art.
She then travelled to Southern Italy where she
painted and taught English. (Price range 15 gns-
50 gns.)
